Q: How long have you been in business?
A: Perryman Painting & Remodeling, Inc. has been proudly serving the Sacramento area for over 30 years. We practice a contractor for life policy, our customer’s use us again and again for their home improvement projects. We wouldn’t be here without them!
Q: Do you have any pictures of completed projects you have done?
A: Yes! We have a huge selection of pictures showing professional projects we have completed in our gallery section. You can check all kinds of different projects including exterior and interior paint jobs, kitchens, bathrooms, flooring jobs, and much more!
Q: How do you hire and evaluate your employees?
A: We are very selective in hiring our employees and vet all of our employees with thorough background checks. Most of our employees, especially our crew leaders, have been with us for years. We would trust them in the homes of our own friends and relatives.
Q: What process do you use to prepare surfaces to make sure the paint “sticks”?
A: We remove all loose and flaking paint from all surfaces, often power-washing an exterior surface before painting, and prepping interior surfaces with a similar process. Sometimes, surfaces have to be scuffed up, abraded, profiled, and sometimes primed to guarantee adhesion. That’s why we take our time where it counts — in the preparation.
Q: On renovation projects, what process do you use to make sure everything is done correctly?
A: Our project manager carefully inspects each job site, and takes time to thoroughly understand the scope of work necessary to complete your project. We have a thorough set of bidding policies that ensure all work necessary is accounted for, s there are no surprises and you can understand exactly how we are going to get the job done. And if a permit is required, county or city inspectors are needed, but we promise that part’s easy!
Q: What type of guarantee do you offer?
A: We offer a ten year guarantee on all painting projects and a one year guarantee on all renovation projects. So, if you notice an issue — small or large — please call our office. We strive to be your contractor for life, which means that we are always just a phone call away.
Q: What type of paint do you recommend?
A: We use Sherwin-Williams Paint because we have a strong relationship with the brand and know they produce quality products. If there is ever a manufacturing defect, we know that Sherwin-Williams paints will stand behind our work — and your project. We of course make exceptions when our customers have a personal preference.
Q: What type of products do you recommend for renovation work?
A: As with paint, we have several suppliers that we work well with. There are a ton of different products to choose from and sometimes there are specialty items we need. If it’s available, we will get it for you. Before we get started, we will provide you with a shopping list along with recommended suppliers.
Q: Are you licensed and insured?
A: Absolutely! We make certain we protect our customers by carrying the appropriate coverage for general liability and workers compensation. Additionally, we are licensed by the state of California and continually seek out industry recognized certifications and designations to add to our customer’s peace of mind.
Q: Can you provide references?
A: Sure thing! In fact, on this website, you’ll find a few already! Plus, we leave behind a ‘project book’ for you to view while we are completing your project proposal on-site.
Q: When do you take payment?
A: We require a 10% deposit and only take final payment at the end of the project when it is completed and you are 100% happy! The only exceptions are for specialty products or for large material orders.
